last night, i never panicked so much before in my life. my cat gave birth. prematurely i think because all 4 kittens died. the first 2 that came out was already dead. one of it didn't even come out of the "red bag" i dunno what you call it, the placenta? anyway, the next two came out alive but barely made it through the night. their features were also not fully formed.

while this was happening, there was only my mum and me at home. both of us were near hysterics and didn't know what else to do. i called my aunt (who had this experience before) and she helped us along. it was already too late to call the pet ambulance cos when we discovered her, she was halfway through the birthing process. we assumed she would give birth late feb or early march based on the time taken with her previous pregnancy, so we were taken by surprised when she gave birth last night.

anyway, she's resting now but still weak and the 4 babies have been buried. maybe, the 4 of them are just not fated to live with us.
